Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your first visit to Maverick Manual Therapy in San Antonio.
Do you accept insurance?
Maverick Manual Therapy operates on a cash-based, out-of-network model. This means we don't bill insurance directly, which allows Dr. Labus to spend significantly more time with each patient per session — without insurance dictating your care. Many patients find they need fewer total visits than with traditional PT, making the overall cost comparable or less. We can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
What is pelvic health physical therapy and who is it for?
Pelvic health PT addresses pain, dysfunction, and weakness in the pelvic region using hands-on manual therapy, breathwork, neuromuscular re-education, and targeted therapeutic exercise. It's appropriate for people experiencing pelvic pain, postpartum recovery challenges, prenatal discomfort, hip-related dysfunction, or pelvic floor issues affecting daily life — for all genders and life stages.
What makes Maverick different from other PT clinics near me?
Every session is one-on-one with Dr. Labus — a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. There are no assistants, no shared treatment rooms, and no waiting. You arrive at your scheduled time and the full session is yours. Dr. Labus evaluates the whole body to find the root cause of pain, not just the site of symptoms.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on your condition and goals, and Dr. Labus will give you an honest answer after your initial evaluation. Because the root cause is identified and addressed from session one, most patients at Maverick need fewer total visits than they experienced at traditional PT clinics.
How do I get started?
Begin with a free 15-minute discovery phone call. Call (830) 429-4848 and speak directly with Dr. Labus to share what you've been dealing with. He'll let you know if Maverick is the right fit — and if so, you'll schedule your first full evaluation. No referral is required.
When are you open?
The clinic is open Tuesday through Thursday, 9 AM–4 PM. Appointments are one-on-one and scheduled in advance, so there is no waiting room time. If those hours don't fit your schedule, call to discuss your options.
